Jen Le Marinel

Jen Le Marinel is a coach, trainer, adventurer and wild guide working predominantly with women who are so busy being good at what they DO, they’ve forgotten who they ARE. She's the founder of Wildfire Walks, a nature-based wellbeing, coaching and training business through which she runs wild retreats, seasonal programmes and 1-1 coaching, helping women reconnect to their wilder selves.

An ex-corporate who left the conventional path, Jen retrained as a women's coach and has spent years exploring the ways of the inner wild through various personal development and healing modalities. Combining this with explorations and trainings in the "outer wild", and a graduate of both the Call of the Wild and Old Way programmes, Jen draws inspiration from the seasons, the Wild Woman archetype and her own wild adventures. Having walked solo from Land’s End to John O’Groats, lived off grid in a yurt in the woods, hung out with wolves and visited the San bushmen twice previously, Jen is constantly exploring how to playfully push the boundaries of what’s possible in life, to explore how we can meaningfully connect with the old ways in a modern world…and to inspire and encourage other women to do the same!

This will be Jen's third expedition to the Nyae Nyae as part of the Tracking the Kalahari programme, and her second as part of the staff team. Jen, alongside supporting the other facilitators in holding and supporting the expedition group, is responsible for the hearth/kitchen; organising and managing menus, food shopping, stores and cooking rotas to ensure the group has sufficient supplies during the trip.
